* If you're watching The Ultimate Fighter (Wednesdays on Spike); rumor has it Coach Tito Ortiz is replaced by Rich Franklin sometime during the season. This seems likely now that Chuck Liddell-Rich Franklin has been announced as the main event for UFC 115...not Liddell-Ortiz.
* Apparently the UFC is working on an immediate rematch between new 155 champ Frankie Edgar and legend BJ Penn. So, those of us hoping to get a lightweight heavyweight shot (like me with Gray Maynard) look like our wish will not be granted. I predict Penn will take back the belt in a proposed rematch. Although, I didn't expect Edgar to win the first time either I guess.
* Look for Josh Shields to join the UFC in the near future. He is fighting Dan Henderson on Strikeforce this Saturday night (On CBS), and after the fight becomes a free agent. Since he's been reported to be helping Chuck Liddell on this season's The Ultimate Fighter, and Dana White has publicly talked about Shields, he could be a real factor in the 170 or 185 pound weight class for Fantasy UFC...probably more so for next season.
